I would not recommend this nursery as a place to work. Managers and area directors seriously need to think about staff well being and prioritise that as well as the children. There are also a lot of unnecessary extras that this company have in staff expectations like a display template, and if the board doesn’t look like the template all your hard work and effort is getting ripped off the wall by the manager no less.

    Support from area directors is abysmal, it felt like they looked down on us because they were however high up in the company, telling us what we’re doing wrong but not giving us advice on how to make it better. We then had about 6 different managers to support us before getting a permanent one. Said manager was also very incompetent and screwed everything up, hence why she got the sack in the end.     If the managers & directors rectified this issue which is a global concern, then I feel it would be even more so competitive. Of course it’s expected there’ll be some food waste, however there’s no food recycling facilities & this is apparent with all the other materials which are vastly wasted & NOT recycled such as plastics & paper, etc. The ONLY point I think that NEEDS to be addressed is amount of waste & lack of recycling. There’s lots of empathy & kindness & the children seem very happy & well behaved.

    At Didcot the rooms are filled with windows into the other classrooms so it feels spacious & United. I can see the cohesion among the different locations within this chain, the expectations & toys are the same. I have worked at various nurseries and preschools through agency work & I really like the atmosphere and approach within Bright horizons. This is an absolute superb chain, especially the ones in the Didcot area as the buildings are divine & spacious. Good quality chain with poor recycling facilities
